No place to hide from the impacts of climate change
Congratulations to the Australian Institute of Company Directors for this, their first dedicated Briefing in Australia supporting company directors with factual presentations on impacts, regulations, opportunities and costs of climate change.
As the Board Director on the panel, and sustainability strategy advisor for business and government, I set out the role for Directors.
It was as important to illustrate the opportunities as the challenges, using real life examples of Board decisions on business realignment, property assets, supply chains, financial exposure and organisational capacity.
My key objective was to enable Directors determine what climate change means for their organisation and how to prepare it. The highlight was the positive feedback from participants.
